In the process of praying for yourself and others, you will be standing in the promises of scripture. God promises His grace and His provision for sickness, discouragement, anger, despair, wisdom, and so many other things that we need on our journey home.
To help you get started, here are some pages dedicated to provide specific scriptures according to topic. While these are not exhaustive, they will be helpful to help you begin to find what your customized prayers need to address issues specifically.
God promises that His Word will not return without effect. When our prayers are Spirit-led, they have the power of heaven behind them. So, come to God boldly. You are His much loved child. He invited you to ask for what you want. Nothing is too mundane. Everything that concerns you - concerns Him.
Matthew 7:7-11
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
